Say Hola! to Miamis first technology-themed community center for older adults when Senior Planets newest walk-in Center opens officially on Monday December 4.Senior Planets newest walk-in center in Miami is an exciting space in Wynwood a happening neighborhood that is really cool despite the Miami heat.Older folks in The Magic City will get their tech on in a location that looks more like a hip, modern co-working space rather than a traditional senior center.The first thing visitors will see is a dramatic and colorful outside mural by local muralist Rage Johnson (age 51) honoring the areas connection to the arts.Inside the 4,300 sq.

ft.space, theyll find some 72 screens, state of the art technology free for the using, free wi-fi, and many amenities in a welcoming and comfortable space.Theres room for group lectures, technology demonstrations, and fitness classes, a lounge area, a free coffee bar and an outdoor seating area.Need some space? Separate, private rooms include one-person pods and four-person enclosed booths for a comfortable setting for tele-medicine consultations and intimate groups.About Senior Planet programs at the center:Senior Planet programs are offered free of charge to all participants over 50.Classes are presented as free lectures, workshops, and multi-week technology courses designed to teach new skills, empowering older adults to use technology to use digital skills.At the new center, multilingual classes will be offered weekly in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole and focus on technology, health, finance, community, and the arts.Some of the most popular classes include All Things Zoom, Computer Essentials, Cloud Storage, and Smartphones at a Glance.
