This year the American Nurses Association is recognizing the entire month of May as Nurses Month.To celebrate, we are honoring our outstanding Sunrise nurses for the warm, person-centered care they provide to their residents and community.
Percella Harris, a Senior Resident Care Director at Sunrise of Cary, NC, was nominated by Doris Teachey, regional director of Resident Care to receive a spotlight highlighting her dedication and commitment to provide the best quality of care to her residents.
Percella has been an exemplary nurse while growing within Sunrise for nearly 15 years! She has worked at several communities in North Carolina, but today, she serves as a Resident Care Director at Sunrise of Cary, NC.She is extremely dedicated to providing her current residents the highest quality care, and bends over backwards to get assessments done for prospective new residents.Percella is passionate about providing person-centered, quality care to her residents, serving as a resource for family members, and training new team members when they join the Sunrise family.Percella is our 1:1 trainer for RCDs.
She does not just spend three days with them; she continues to check in on them and help with any aspects of their job.She has a great system she uses to train them through Sunrise Care Connect.Doris Teachey, Regional Director of Resident Care.In addition to her passion for nursing, Percella enjoys spending time with her family and poodles, and she loves traveling!
