Introducing: Sunrise of New Dorp

Today, we proudly announce the opening of our second and newest community on Staten Island, Sunrise of New Dorp.
Sunrise of New Dorp will continue our tradition of providing high-quality senior living services as we welcome our first residents onsite today.The nearly 85,000 square foot, four-story property by Moseley Architects will provide occupancy for nearly 130 residents and offer assisted livingas well as memory careoptions for individuals living with dementia.

Sunrise of New Dorps suites are carefully designed by Sunrises in-house design team to support residents comfort and safety, featuring custom finishes and an emergency response system.The community combines an elegant mix of modern and interior design touches across its common areas and private spaces, and features custom furniture built for residents needs.At the heart of the community constructed in partnership with KBE Building Corporation and PWC Companies, sits a lively and multi-functional bistro area, offering a place for coffee and snacks as well as seating options for lounging in front of the large slab stone fireplace, dining, playing games and socializing.

A large, enclosed courtyard spanning the entire width of the community will provide safe, accessible outdoor space for residents to enjoy year-round and includes a pergola with seating.Sunrise of New Dorps amenities include an expansive theatre room and a boutique nail and hair salon.We are thrilled to welcome residents to our community at New Dorp, said Sunrise of New Dorps Executive Director, Cheryl Bambach.

We look forward to providing the best possible experience to our residents as we support them to live the lifestyles they want and deserve.One of those new residents is Ms.Beatrice Bea Rogers! She was born in raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Staten Island in 1989.

One of seven children, Bea was the only girl in the family.Having grown up with six brothers, Bea was thrilled when she had two daughters of her own.From her two daughters, Bea was blessed with four grandchildren.

Bea was a career woman from the age of 19, working for WMCA in radio and television advertising.She later went on to work in real estate.She was impressed with our community, Sunrise of New Dorp, at first sight.

The open design and bright airy community made Beatrice feel right at home.Bea enjoys painting, traveling on cruise ships and dining out at Italian restaurants.Her favorite time spent is with her daughters.

She is very social and when asked why she decided to move to Sunrise she said I enjoy being around people, I love to talk and share stories.The team here is so warm and welcoming.Beatrice joins the Sunrise family as one of our first Founders of Sunrise of New Dorp.Accessible & Dynamic Location Sunrise of New Dorps location on Staten Island provides immediate access to the New York City Metropolitan Area as well as the surrounding region.
