Now, lets get started, shall we?Question #1: Emails not coming throughI had to change my Google/Chrome password, and now my email isnt coming through on my iPhone. What should I do?Techsperts Answer:When you change your Google (Gmail) password, for security reasons, it wont automatically update on other devices where youre signed in, like your iPhone. For instance, if your old password were compromised, you wouldnt want every device to stay signed in with it.To fix this, open theSettingsapp on your iPhone > scroll down toMail>Accounts> select your Gmail account > tapRe-enter password(or remove and re-add the account).

Then sign in with your new password.Once updated, your emails should flow back into your inbox.Question #2: Snap a Photo, Find the PriceHow can I take a picture of something and find out its price or if its cheaper somewhere else?Techsperts Answer:Thats precisely whatGoogle Lens and similar features, such as Bing Visual Search,do.On your iPhone or Android, open theGoogle app and tap the small camera icon in the search bar.

Take a photo of the item, and Google Lens will search the web for matching products.Youll see prices from different stores, making it easy to compare without typing a single word.Think of it as point, shoot, and shop.

A bonus is that it also shows you similar items, so if the exact product is pricey, you might spot a great deal on something almost the same.Question #3: Is YouTube TV Lagging?I switched from cable to YouTube TV, and Ive noticed that some channels are lagging. How can I resolve this issue?Techsperts Answer:Streaming lag typically indicates that your internet connection cant keep up with the video stream.Try these steps:Ensure your internet speed is at least25 Mbpsfor HD streaming (or higher if multiple devices are online). If possible, connect your TV or streaming device directly to your router using anEthernet cableinstead of Wi-Fi for a stronger and more stable signal.Close other apps or devices that may be hogging bandwidth.Move your router closer to your streaming device to improve the Wi-Fi signal.Restart your modem/router to refresh the connection. If the problem continues, run a speed test atspeedtest.net.

If your results dont match the speed youre paying for, contact your internet provider. Also, be sure to register for Senior Planets free Zoom lecture, Understanding Internet Plans, on Wednesday, September 24 at 10:30am EDT.Question #4: Traveling abroadIm traveling to Mexico. If I keep my phone turned off, will that stop charges for international fees?Techsperts Answer:Yes! If your phone is completely powered off, you wont be charged. But as soon as its on and connects to a local network, international roaming charges may apply.

To avoid surprises:Turn onAirplane Modefor the entire trip (you can still use Wi-Fi whenever available).Or call your carrier before you go and ask about an international plan. That way, you can stay connected without unexpected bills. For even more details, check out my techspert article on how to avoid roaming fees abroad.Question #5: Extra Security for Smart TV?Hello, is a smart TV secure with Bluetooth, or does it require additional security when connected to the internet?Techsperts Answer:Smart TVs are safe when it comes to Bluetooth. The bigger concern is the internet connection.A smart TV is basically another device on your home network, so use the same good habits as with your computer or phone:Connect to your homes secure Wi-Fi (not public Wi-Fi).Keep your TVs software up to date.Only install trusted apps from the TVs official store.Think of Bluetooth as a small door that only opens when paired, but the internet is the bigger entrance you want to keep locked down.If youd like your question answered in the next TechBytes episode, submit it on this form.Got a tech question that just cannot wait?
